It's important to dress appropriately for the season! Layers in the winter or breathable fabric in warmer months. You should bring water and a watch/phone with a timing and distance app to all classes. In the summer, sunscreen and bug spray are also important. You may occasionally be asked to bring a rucksack or something heavy to carry.
No! Everyone is welcome to train with us, no matter your experience. Every body is different and Tenacity Athletics meets you where you are at. We customize our group classes so that all levels - beginner, intermediate, or advanced athletes - can participate. Our coaches thoroughly explain all movements, customizations, and the flow of workouts at the start of class. If you have the drive and commitment, then our classes are a great option!
Two things: our incredibly supportive community and our 7500-square-foot obstacle yard featuring more than a dozen obstacles are what make us unique. Don't just take our word for it. Here's what one of our members had to say: "Community. That’s what you get with Tenacity Athletics: a community of like-minded individuals who support and encourage each other. Fitness looks different to each of us. Tenacity Athletics meets you where you’re at and provides the community that will support you through your fitness journey." Kelly L., Tenacity Member.

Our training runs outdoors year-round. In addition to training in our 7,500-square foot Obstacle Yard located at 1324 Hamilton Street in Regina, we also train locations in and around Regina including Wascana Park, Mount Pleasant, Douglas Park Hill, Conexus Arts Centre, The Science Centre, Wascana Trails, White Butte Trails, AE Wilson Park, Buffalo Pound, Mosaic Stadium (summertime only!), and more. If the weather is too cold during the winter months, we move our classes indoors to the Field House or online for participants to join from home.
We accept all major credit cards and payments by e-transfer. We do not accept personal checks.
All our classes start with a thorough mobility and dynamic warm-up session to ensure our bodies are prepared and ready to work. This helps prevent injury and improves our performance. This warm-up is followed by a team jog and then the "meat" of the class. All our classes are different and designed to challenge you, no matter your fitness level. You can expect walking, jogging, running, rucking, body weight or weighted exercises, hill climbing, conditioning, carrying heavy things, recovery work, and more.
We train outdoors becuase we race outdoors ,and also because exercising outside is so much better for our physical and mental health than working out indoors. Research comparing indoor versus outdoor activity conducted in a natural environment suggests that outdoor activity "causes greater feelings of revitalization and positive engagement ... improve[s] self-esteem and negative moods, such as tension, anger, and depression...[In fact], the first five minutes of green exercise appears to have the biggest impact on mood and self-esteem, suggesting an immediate psychological health benefit." - Valerie Gladwell et al, 'The great outdoors: how a green exercise environment can benefit all'
You don't have to train alone. Join our supportive community of seasoned coaches, fellow members, and guest educators and crush your goals!
